Salmonella and Campy/obaeter are two of the most common foodbome pathogens that produce illness in humans, causing an estimated> 1 million and >800,000 illnesses, respectively, due to food consumed in the United States. Most of these estimated illnesse s are not confirmed by culture. Exposure to poultry meat is an important risk factor for illness from both pathogens. Evidence for this link has...

Trade's effect on the living standards of the poor is generally found to be the dominant channel through which trade influences child time allocation and schooling. Trade can influence the living standards of the poor by changing consumption prices and through altering labor and family asset income. It is this later channel, changes in labor and asset incomes, that researchers have highlighted ...
متن کاملJune 1995 PUPT-1546 TURBULENCE WITHOUT PRESSURE
We develop exact field theoretic methods to treat turbulence when the effect of pressure is negligible. We find explicit forms of certain probability distributions, demonstrate that the breakdown of Galilean invariance is responsible for intermit-tency and establish the operator product expansion. We also indicate how the effects of pressure can be turned on perturbatively.
متن کاملOptical monitoring of the gravitationally lensed quasar Q 2237 + 0305 from APO between June 1995 and January 1998 ?
We present a data set of images of the gravitationally lensed quasar Q2237+0305, that was obtained at the Apache Point Observatory (APO) between June 1995 and January 1998. Although the images were taken under variable, often poor seeing conditions and with coarse pixel sampling, photometry is possible for the two brighter quasar images A and B with the help of exact quasar image positions from...
